I had a strong desire to visit Hoge Kempen National Park, so I chose to stay at Mardaga for its convenient location. However, the enthusiastic team at the hotel pleasantly surprised me. Their warm hospitality created an inspiring environment where the culinary delights of the master chef perfectly stood out. I especially loved the traditional meals à la carte served at the hotel's restaurant.

response time via e-mail really short and accurate, late check-in option, care for diet, friendliness of staff

The breakfast staff and the breakfast itself.
We booked for only 1 night but upon our arrival, we asked if it was possible to book a 2nd night. They said yes and reserved our room. We then made plans with friends that were also in the area, for the next day and evening. Around 1pm the next day, we were told that they'd accidentally overbooked and that we'd have to move. We were disappointed and it was a pain to move again but as we'd already made plans with friends for that day and night, we had to stay in the area. We ended up at a lesser hotel for the same price...

Enjoying a stroll in the national and nature parks nearby was a great break from the usual routine. 🌳 Staying here is a good choice if you plan to visit a popular indoor attraction in the area. Plus, it's conveniently close to the airport, making it easy to get around.

That the staff were helpful and honest - they refunded some of our room rate because our paperwork said breakfast was not included when it was. We decided not to pay the extra but would never have known we had already been charged, so it was a welcome surprise to get some money back!

For the price we paid, we got great value and a beautiful room with trendy-old-style furniture and a comfortable sofa that easily fit three people. The location was excellent, right opposite the National Park Hoge Kempen, which was perfect for walks with our dog. The staff at Mardaga were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Menu for breakfast could have had more affordable options.

It was a very nice, clean hotel. Lovely area and the staff were friendly. We felt comfortable and the room looked as it does in the pics online.
The restaurant wasn't open so we struggled to find somewhere to eat. It's a shame because it seemed a nice place and the breakfast was really good!

Excellent location near the National Park Hoge Kempen and convenient for walks with a dog. Friendly and helpful staff.- Beautiful room with trendy-old-style furniture and a large, air-conditioned bathroom.
Room was smaller than expected for a junior suite, with some wasted space in the bathroom. Some maintenance issues in the bathroom, such as leaking shower head and broken shower tray.

The hotel's location is perfect for those wanting to visit the nearby National Park, as one of the entrances is just opposite the hotel. the staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the best aspects of the hotel was the large and comfortable room, equipped with trendy-old-style furniture and air conditioning.
The bathrooms were old and needed some investment, as some of the taps were making a lot of noise and the shower head was leaking from multiple angles. the room also had bad noise isolation, which was not ideal for a romantic stay.
